Top Two Recipes to make a Cold Cake

Hey audience!! How are you doing? I hope you all are doing well. Today I am going to start a new category “Recipes”. Yes I will be giving you different recipes of delicious foods you will surely fall addicted to. Do try these recipes to entertain your taste buds. As this is my first post in this category so I prefer to start with a dessert. Here I bring a simple and quick recipe of Cold Cake. You can prepare this cake within half an hour and it will be ready to serve in less than 3 hours. It needs no baking, just a few ingredients you already have in your kitchen (no need to go out and buy them) and you can make it even if you have no previous expertise in cooking.
There are two methods of making cold cake.
1.Cold Cake made with fresh cream and topped with cocoa paste and dry fruits.
2.Cold Cake made with cocoa powder and topped with melted chocolate plus dry fruits.

Method 1:

Ingredients

  • Fresh Cream 2 Cups
  • Marie Biscuits 1 Packet
  • Sugar 10 oz
  • Eggs 2
  • Butter 6 oz
  • Cocoa Powder 4 Table Spoons
  • Dry Fruits (Almonds, Nuts, Pistachio) As Required

Procedure 1:

Take a bowl and put cream in it. Add sugar and beat until cream mixes well with the sugar. Take Marie Biscuits and break each biscuit into two pieces (or three). Mix the biscuit with the cream in the bowl. Now take a greased pan and put the mixture in it and leave in freezer for at least three hours. You may also use plastic bag and put the mixture in it to freeze. After three hours, now prepare the topping. Take a pan and boil water in it. Add butter, cocoa powder, sugar (according to taste) and beaten eggs in a separate small pan and hold this pan over the boiling water. Mix thoroughly to make a smooth paste. Add dry fruits at this stage. Now take this pan off the boiling water and keep on stirring till it cools to room temperature. Bring out the cake from the freezer and cut into square or round pieces. Pour the smooth paste over each piece so that it runs down on the sides as well. You may freeze it again for sometime if you wish. Your yummy cold cake is ready to be served.

Method 2:

Ingredients

  • Marie Biscuits 1 Packet
  • Butter 6 oz
  • Sugar 10 oz
  • Cocoa Powder 4 Table Spoons
  • Eggs 2
  • Chocolate (Dairy Milk) 4 small bars
  • Dry Fruits (Almonds, Nuts, Pistachio) As Required

Procedure 2:

Boil sufficient amount of water in a pan. Take a bowl and mix cocoa powder, butter, sugar and eggs (already beaten). Mix these ingredients well and hold this pan over the boiling water. Stir continuously with spoon till it becomes a smooth paste. Add the dry fruits and take off the pan from boiling water. Allow it to cool at room temperature but stir continuously. Break the biscuits in small pieces (each biscuit in two to three pieces). Mix the crushed biscuits into the mixture. Now keep it in a round or square bowl and freeze for at least three hours. Now take out the cake and pour melted chocolate over it. Enjoy the cold cake.
